A Passion Born from a Pandemic
Like many great stories, B’s journey began at home. During the pandemic, while many of us were finding new hobbies, B rekindled her love for baking. Despite her childhood interest, it wasn’t until Craftsy waived their fees during COVID-19 that she truly honed her skills. Armed with new techniques and an insatiable passion, B transformed her home kitchen into a budding business.
From Home Baker to Business Owner
Before diving into the world of baking, B worked from home and attended therapy school. Everything changed when she bought a house and decided to pursue her baking dreams full-time. The very day after closing on her new home, B quit her day job to focus solely on her bakery.
Her dedication paid off. With the guidance of a business coach, B knew she needed to move to a brick-and-mortar location once she hit $10,000 in monthly sales. By October of that year, she did just that, reaching $10.2K and making the call to open her bakery.

Blush and Whisk Bakery quickly became known for its delicious and beautifully crafted cakes, cupcakes, and cookies. B experimented with various treats, but it was her cupcakes and cakes that truly stole the show. Now, her bakery offers these favorites along with dessert bars to go, catering to every sweet tooth.
But B’s talents don’t stop at baking. She also hosts cake decorating classes, sharing her skills and passion with others. Her dream is to expand her bakery to include an event space, where she can hold more classes and community events.
